The General Accounting division of the Finance Department serves both our internal and external customers by providing quality financial services while adhering to established City policies and procedures and general accounting principles.
General Accounting is responsible for maintaining the City’s general ledger, performs month and year-end closing functions and prepares various financial reports for state and federal agencies. The division is in charge of overall accounting and processing for the following:
- Accounts Payable
- Account Receivable,
- Cash receipts posting
- Debt management
- Grant management
- Annual Financial Report
