Oxnard, Are You Aware of California Assembly Bill 413?

California Assembly Bill 413, also known as “daylighting”, goes into effect statewide at the start of next year. This new law prohibits stopping or parking your car within 20 feet of a marked or unmarked crosswalk. This new state law helps increase the visibility of pedestrians and bicyclists entering the crosswalk.

The Oxnard Police Department traffic unit will begin enforcing this new law January 1st, 2025.
