In June of 2020, the Oxnard Police Department restructured its narcotics investigation staffing and formed the Drug Enforcement Unit, or DEU.
The DEU is currently staffed by one police sergeant and four investigators. Their priorities are to investigate narcotics related offenses, opioid overdose deaths, and human trafficking.
