- We will accept Pellet-B scores from other agencies within 1-year of test
- Submit Pellet-B to City of Oxnard Human Resources Department
- POST Pellet-B practice test
- Another option to take the written exam is through the National Testing Network
- Physical Agility Test
- Agility course

- 6’ solid fence
- 500 yard run (2 minutes 15 seconds)
- 15 pushups (1 minute)
- Sergeants Interview/ Commander
- 9-10 basic law enforcement related questions
- Opportunity to get to know the applicant

- Background Investigation
- Extensive background process, may take 4-6 weeks
- Chief’s Interview
- Interview with the Chief of Police and Assistant Chiefs
- Professional appearance/ Business attire
- Get to know applicant, knowledge of law enforcement and OXPD
- Conditional job offer
- Job is assured if you pass Psychological Test and Medical Test
- Psychological Test
- 5-hour written test
- Interview with Psychologist
- Medical Evaluation
