Project Overview
This project includes the construction of a new electrical building and maintenance storage building, rehabilitation of a digester and headworks, improvements to site piping, replacement of motor control centers(MCC), a new SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system, security cameras, and perimeter fencing.
The purpose of the project is to protect public health, ensure we can preserve aquatic ecosystems, meet regulatory standards, and support economic growth and community needs
Current Project Phase – Construction
This project began on October 22, 2022. Since its initiation, both the Electrical Building and the Maintenance Building have been constructed. Currently, the Electrical Building is undergoing underground electrical utility connections and site grading, while the Maintenance Building is in the process of finishing its construction.
Additionally, the rehabilitation of the digester is nearing completion, and concrete repairs at the headworks are in progress. Improvements to the site piping, security cameras, and perimeter fencing are also close to completion. We are currently addressing design and connectivity concerns related to the MCCs and SCADA systems.
Construction started Fall of 2022.
