Yes, all STR applicants are advised to do the following:
- Review the entire STR Ordinance and Application Materials and then prepare documents for submission.
- Review their STR application in its entirety to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
New Applications:
New Short-Term Rental applicants must submit the following 6 (six) documents as part of their permit application:
- A Site Plan/Floor Plan
- Nuisance Response Plan
- Short Term Rental Affidavit Form
- Proof of Homeowners Exemption (for homeshares only)
- Multiple Property Owner Documentation (if more than one person or entity owns the property, be prepared to upload documentation which specifies which individuals own the property)
- Land Use Application Form
Annual Renewals:
Short-Term Rental applicants must submit the following 6 (six) documents as part of their renewal application:
- Short Term Rental Permit Renewal Certification
- Nuisance Response Plan (an updated plan is required annually)
- Short Term Rental Affidavit Form
- Rental Self Certification
- Proof of Homeowners Exemption (for homeshares only)
- Multiple Property Owner Documentation (if more than one person or entity owns the property, be prepared to upload documentation which specifies which individuals own the property)
All new STR applications will be required to submit a payment of $1,595.00. This fee covers the registration fee (Phase 1 & 2) and mailing fee (This does not include the Business License Fee). If the property does not qualify for an STR based on the separation or neighborhood cap requirements, the application fee will be fully refunded.
All STR renewal applications will be required to submit a payment of $1,214.25. This includes the renewal processing fee and mailing fee (This does not include the Business License Renewal Fee).
Completed applications may be submitted through the City of Oxnard’s STR Permit Registration & Tax Collection online portal.
