The City of Oxnard’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) was approved by the City Council on December 7, 2022.
The City’s CAAP builds on the City’s successes of implementing the City’s 2030 General Plan and recommits to furthering the City’s sustainability goals and policies.
The CAAP establishes a target to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030, consistent with state law. The document presents an inventory of GHG emissions originating from the City, and sets forth strategies and actions to reduce emissions and help the community adapt to a changing climate.
