Fire Station 8 was opened in 2015 It is currently the home of Engine and Truck 68 as well as Battalion 61. This new station has a classroom, which allows it to serve as a training site for the department. Also housed here is USAR 68; this apparatus is a heavy rescue and has all the necessary equipment for; low/high angle rope rescue systems, structural collapse, trench rescue, confined space rescue, and building shoring operations. Station 8 is also the home of Oxnard’s first Advanced Life Support Unit, Squad 68.
