Visit Downtown Oxnard with a Free, Self-Guided Historic Walking Tour
Oxnard, California – The City of Oxnard IT Department-GIS Division, in coordination with the city’s Cultural and Community Services department, has developed a free, self-guided Historic Walking Tour of Downtown Oxnard.
The tour, which is available as a link on the city’s website under the “Visitors” tab, allows visitors to choose between two historic routes through downtown Oxnard — either the full 2.5-mile tour, or a 1.25-mile tour that skips two stops. The tour is mobile-phone and tablet compatible.
Both tours begin at the free parking structure on B Street between Third Street and Fourth Street and end at Heritage Square. Other stops include the Oxnard Post Office, the Woolworth Building, the Bank of A. Levy Building, Plaza Park and Pagoda, the Carnegie Museum, the C Street Palm Trees, the Santa Clara Catholic Church, the Henry T. Oxnard Historic District, the Japanese Methodist Church, and the Golden Chicken Inn.
Visitors following the tour will be able to view an historic photograph and enjoy a brief description of each historic site. There is no cost for the tour.

Visite El Centro de Oxnard Con Recorrido Autoguiado a Pie Gratuito
Oxnard, California – La división de GIS del Departamento de TI (Teconología Informática) de la ciudad de Oxnard, en coordinación con el Departamento de servicios culturales y comunitarios de la ciudad, ha desarrollado una visita guiada a pie por el centro de Oxnard, gratuita y autoguiada.
El Tour, que está disponible como un enlace en el sitio web de la ciudad bajo la pestaña “visitantes”, permite a los visitantes a elegir entre dos rutas históricas a través del centro de Oxnard-ya sea el recorrido completo de 2,5 millas, o un tour de 1,25 millas que salta dos paradas. El tour es compatible con teléfonos móviles y tablets.
Ambos Tours comienzan en la estructura de estacionamiento gratuito en la calle B entre la calle tercera y la calle cuarta y terminan en Heritage Square.
