Programs & Activities
Any child 5 years old and up that has a disability; mentally, physically, visually and/or hearing impaired is invited to join Challenger Sports. The program allows athletes with cognitive and physical disabilities the opportunity to play ball and have fun. The only requirement is the desire to have fun!

The Fun Club is a free program designed to provide social and recreational opportunities for persons 5 years of age and older with disabilities. Caregivers are also welcome!
The Fun Club meets twice a month (1st and 3rd Wednesdays) at the Wilson Senior Center (350 North C Street) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the exception of field trips.
Join us for an afternoon of group & individual activities, arts & crafts and board games. Our Jolly Jump and City Corps Train are also present at our events.

Art Lessons
Learning to swim can be an empowering and exciting experience! Our swim lessons provide an emphasis on strengths and unique attributes of each swimmer.

Individuals and/or families can reserve a raised bin or garden plot to grow organic fruits and vegetables on their own or can also participate in lessons. Open to all ages.
Garden plots are located at the Wilson Senior Center and at the Pleasant Valley Community Garden. Dates and times are open. The participation fee is $15 per year.

The Braille Institute provides free classes for visually impaired and legally blind adults on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wilson Senior Center (350 North C Street).
Instruction is provided in daily living skills, home management, community resources and creative arts.
